Surging Support for Men’s Equality Month: ICMB Announces November 5 Press Conference and Summit
October 8, 2025 – The International Council for Men and Boys (ICMB) is pleased to announce its official Men’s Equality Month Press Conference and Summit, set for November 5, 2025, in Washington, D.C. Media representatives and lawmakers are warmly invited to attend this landmark gathering, with full details available here. (1)
The Press Conference, starting at 1:00pm, will feature leading lawmakers from the states of Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Maryland. The Summit will include a distinguished lineup of speakers addressing critical issues facing men and boys today:
- Warren Farrell and Dr. Edward Bartlett: Global Perspectives on the Challenges Facing Men and Boys
- Don Hubin: Child Support Reset: Reimagining the Title IV-D Program
- Lisa Britton: We Must Encourage More Women to Address Male Inequality
- William Bernet: Common Myths of Parental Alienation
- Benny Baily: Men Living with an Abusive Female Partner
Men’s Equality Month is a growing global initiative to address the 12 well-documented areas where men and boys face systemic disadvantage (2), including education, health, criminal justice, family law, and workplace safety (3).
This year’s campaign has already generated unprecedented public and political engagement. A wave of momentum was sparked by President Obama’s recent call for expanded programs for men and boys, which catalyzed widespread support across party lines and civil society (4).
Adding to the bipartisan momentum, President Donald J. Trump proclaimed June 2025 as Men’s Health Week, highlighting the five-year male lifespan gap, higher suicide rates, and systemic neglect of men’s well-being. He pledged to “lift up” American men and prioritize their health and safety (5).
In response, numerous lawmakers have issued statements of support, and national media outlets have begun reporting more seriously on male-focused disparities (6).
This growing public interest is echoed in policymaking, with reports showing bipartisan calls for reform on boys’ education, male suicide, and justice disparities—issues now gaining traction in legislation and media. (7)
The events will be held in Washington, DC at the Holiday Inn, 550 C Street SW. There is no charge to members of the credentialed media. The charge to other persons is $65. Persons should register here (8).
Join us on November 5 as we take the next step towards #GenderEqualityForMen.
The International Council for Men and Boys is a non-governmental organization committed to celebrating the contributions of men to society and ending the 12 disparities that affect men and boys around the world. Achieving #GenderEqualityForMen also benefits women.
