ICMB Launches “Celebrating Men” Podcast to Highlight Role Models and Rebrand the Male Narrative
January 20, 2026 —The International Council for Men and Boys (ICMB) today is announcing the launch of its new podcast and video series, Celebrating Men, a platform dedicated to honoring the dignity, contributions, and quiet heroism of men worldwide.
The podcast features powerful conversations with respected male advocates, mentors, and leaders who exemplify courage, integrity, and emotional depth. Its purpose is clear: to elevate public understanding of who men truly are and counter the overwhelmingly negative portrayals found in modern media, where 69% of coverage of men is unfavorable, and only 12% is positive (1).
In its debut episode, the podcast welcomes Tom Golden, LCSW, a leading voice in grief and masculine psychology, whose decades of therapeutic work with boys and men have shaped a generation of advocates (2). Golden’s reflections–on healing, identity, and what it means to be misunderstood as a man–underscore the podcast’s mission to reconnect society with the value of male strength, guidance, and compassion.
Segments are crafted not only as full-length interviews, but also as short, 1–3 minute clips to increase accessibility and reach younger audiences—offering key insights in formats that are shareable and relatable.
Celebrating Men builds on ICMB’s work to confront the twelve areas of global male disadvantage—from education and health to legal bias and father absence (3). The podcast marks a pivotal moment in reshaping the conversation: from problems to purpose, from victimhood to vision.
The podcast will launch on Thursday, January 22, 8:00 am EST. To receive a notification, visit the link below and click “Notify Me” to watch it live (4). To subscribe to ICMB’s YouTube channel, click here (5).
Media professionals are encouraged to help rebalance public discourse by consistently featuring positive male role models in their coverage, highlighting men’s contributions, mentorship, and social value.
Lawmakers are urged to advance policies that affirm the dignity and well-being of men and boys by supporting father involvement, male‑inclusive mental health initiatives, and mentorship‑based prevention strategies.
The International Council for Men and Boys is a non-governmental organization that is working to celebrate the contributions of men to society and to end the 12 disparities that affect men and boys around the world. Achieving #GenderEqualityForMen will also benefit women.
