ICMB Invites UN Missions to Support March 12 “Restoring Trust and Respect between Men and Women” Event
February 5, 2026 — The International Council for Men and Boys (ICMB) today invites governments, embassies, and Permanent Missions to the United Nations to issue statements supporting ICMB’s 2026 theme, “Restoring Trust and Respect Between Men and Women,” in advance of ICMB’s March 12 event at the Conference on the State of Women and Family (CSWF).
The current strained relationships between men and women have led to voluntary childlessness, which has intensified concerns about long-term population replacement and social sustainability. (1)(2) At the same time, the burdens carried by single-parent households, especially single mothers, are often compounded by the well-documented harms associated with father absence. (3)(4) A stable, nuclear family is a simple solution. (5)(6)
CSWF is described by its organizers as “a two-day event that runs parallel to the UN Commission on the Status of Women,” and one that “provides an opportunity for leaders of UN member states, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and individuals from around the world to network, learn from one another, and engage in advocacy on behalf of women and their families.” (7) CSWF further states that “the empowerment of women, the eradication of poverty and, in fact, all of the SDGs can best be achieved by recognizing and strengthening the family.”
ICMB’s event, “Restoring Trust and Respect Between Men and Women,” is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2026, 9:55–11:10 a.m., at the Lebanese American University, 211 E 46th Street, New York, NY 10017. (8) CSWF dates are Wednesday, March 11, and Thursday, March 12, 2026.
The March 2026 CSWF will take place alongside the 70th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), held March 9–20, 2026, at UN Headquarters in New York. (9) UN Women lists the CSW70 priority theme as: “Ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls…” including inclusive and equitable legal systems and eliminating discriminatory laws and practices.
ICMB respectfully invites UN Member States and diplomatic missions to:
- Issue a public statement supporting the theme, “Restoring Trust and Respect Between Men and Women.”
- Sponsor the March 12 ICMB event so it may be listed in the UN Journal for that day.
- Attend the March 12 event and participate in constructive dialogue on strengthening mutual trust and shared dignity between women and men.
